My name is Jeff. I am from England but have lived in Japan for two years. I worked for a Japanese telecommunications company. They are situated in the Yokohama area of Japan.

I spent my working day's in the mobile office at the companies headquarters in Kamoi, Yokohama. Sometimes involved in engineering, homepage design, or re-writing translated documents....At least I think they are translated to English....they appear more like English anagrams...but I always Ganbarimasu!!!
I am trying hard to learn Japanese....for my Japanese visitors; my standard I think can best be described as katakoto nihongo...... I am the only Englishman in my company....Therefore you can imagine my days are just full of good conversation!!!!! I have lived in Japan for just over a year now. This has brought some traumatic changes in my life....
My reasons for coming to Japan and staying are now a little blurred....except to say I find I have a fascination with the Japanese people and their culture. One day I may be cured of this and return to England a sadder but wiser man...who knows......( well not me)...

I have kept a journal (off and on) since my arrival in Japan, and will be publishing, edited, extracts on the web... please have a read if you have time........
